Member of Parliament and vice-president of the Socialist People's Party (SNP), Danijela Đurović, condemned the inappropriate caricatures aimed at attacking and discrediting women.
"Yesterday's attack on fellow MP Sanja Damjanović is an indicator of the shameful state in which our society is, the decline of morals and a deep social crisis. Any sexist and misogynist act will always be condemned by the Socialist People's Party of Montenegro. Our party has always fought for the protection of dignity and the integrity of every citizen of Montenegro and it will be so in the future, regardless of who it was," said Đurović.
She adds that she is particularly concerned that such outbursts are becoming more frequent and are not sufficiently condemned by the public.
"As a reminder, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vesna Bratić recently went through the same situation. As an MP and member of the Committee for Gender Equality, I raise my voice to defend the dignity of all women in Montenegro. Our country must stand behind each of its citizens and citizens and show that it is stronger than the primitivism we are witnessing these days," Đurović concluded.
