Several pine trees were cut down on the construction site of the future hotel Kraljičina plaža and market apartments in Budva.
The investor is the company Adriatic Properties, owned by Greek businessman Petros Statis.
The locals and the Sveti Stefan local community have asked for the construction to be stopped before. The cutting of pine trees was previously the cause of protests.
"The felling of pine trees in Miločerski Park continues. I expect that the supervisory minister will undertake all activities in order to stop further devastation as soon as possible. We have not given up on our demands, which, I will repeat, is to stop further felling of pine trees in Miločerski Park, to stop the investor and tenant "HTP Miločer" and the company "Adriatic Properties" doo Budva from further concreting and building apartments for the market, freeing communication and beaches ", Blažo Rađenović, a member of the Council of the Ministry of Health of Sveti Stefan, a resident of Sveti Stefan and councilor of the Civic Movement URA, told the News.
He pointed out that the only thing acceptable for GP URA, but also for the majority of the residents of Sveti Stefan and Pržno, is the construction of a high-class hotel on the site of the former hotel "Kraljičina plaža".
"This urbancide in nature must be put to an end urgently. I expect an urgent visit by the relevant minister, Ratko Mitrović, who would make sure of all the above on the spot. We also expect the report of the commission that was formed to examine the contract between the Government and the tenant, as well as building permits issued for this building," said Radjenović.
