The residents of Ulica XVIII in the Zeta village of Mahala are asking the authorities to urgently pave that road, so that they can have normal access to their homes.
As they pointed out, the street is about 200 meters long, it is macadam, and due to numerous potholes, especially when it rains, it is almost impossible to pass through that section.
"A large number of children live here, we also have old, sick people. We can't leave the houses to walk. We submitted a request several times to pave the street, but they didn't meet us," Bojan Račić told "Vijesta".
He pointed out that they submitted the last request two months ago, and that the street is in such bad condition that it is difficult for vehicles to pass.
In the signed request of the locals, i.e. representatives of 12 families, to the President of the Municipality within the Capital City of Golubovci, Tanja Stajović, it is stated that "they are the only ones in Zeta who do not have an asphalted street through the settlement".
"All families live permanently in the settlement, our children go to school on a muddy road, just like the rest of us when we need to get to the store or the bus station. Through our settlement runs a street four to seven wide and about 200 meters long, which could be asphalt without problems of a property or other nature", the locals stated in the letter.
The Municipality within the Capital City of Golubovci informed "Vijesta" that the mentioned street is not a public area in its entirety, but rather plots of land owned by natural persons.
"More precisely, we are talking about two plots that are in private ownership, namely: plot no. 56/6, registered in LN no. 1264 and plot no. 57/6, registered in LN, number 307; KO Mahala. Considering to the fact that in this case it is not a public area, except for one part of the street of the same name, we could not define the plans related to it", the GO added.
They pointed out that in the coming period, the locals can certainly turn to the Municipality within the Capital City of Golubovci, in order to find the best solution for this problem.
