The commander of the Podgorica Protection and Rescue Service, Goran Janković, reacted to the text entitled "SDT inspects the repair of fire trucks", published yesterday in "Vijesti". We transmit the reaction in its entirety:
"I want to deny the incorrect information that you published in the title of the text in your daily newspaper, because according to these criminal charges against me and some of the employees, complete documentation was submitted, and the competent state body rejected the charges on this basis.
In accordance with all of the above, and looking at the publication of a series of articles about me, one gets the impression and conclusion that all your articles in the previous period were aimed at undermining personal and professional authority, regardless of the truth of the facts, as the title of this morning's article tells you.
By tendentiously writing about 'initiating reconnaissance', you are trying to harm me personally, as well as my professional authority, in such a way that you give a large part of the readers the impression that there is something illegal about the process of reconnaissance.
For the sake of accuracy in informing the public, I emphasize that the investigation is a procedural action carried out by the competent state authorities in order to collect all data and facts regarding the possible existence of suspicion that there are illegal actions in certain actions, whether it is a misdemeanor or a criminal offense. For your information, and for the sake of accurate information of the public, I inform you that for the criminal complaint you mention in the title, an investigation was conducted and complete documentation and case files were seized, and statements were taken from all employees, after which the competent special prosecutor dismissed the criminal complaint with stating that there is no doubt that I committed the above-mentioned criminal act.
Finally, I would like to emphasize that all criminal charges were filed by an anonymous applicant, signed as 'Podgorica firefighters', although the real Podgorica firefighters have no idea what it is about, and the only accurate fact is that you were provided with a copy or photo of the filed criminal charges from foreign persons who are definitely known to you and that the aim is to destroy both the personal and professional integrity of me as the commander of the Service, as well as the other employees who are included in these reports," Janković said.
