The eco-museum-house of Nobel Laureate Ivo Andrić will soon become part of the tourist offer of Herceg Novi, according to the announcement of the Municipality of Herceg Novi (OHN).
They announced that in cooperation with the tour operator "Trend Travel" from Herceg Novi, the Agency for Local Democracy created a tourist package, a two-hour walking tour with a focus on the developed model of eco-museums and community museums, within the Co.Co Tour project.
"The ceremonial opening of the House of Ivo Andrić is scheduled for March 31," OHN announced.
As they announced, the Agency for Local Democracy stated that the tour starts at the House of Ivo Andrić, where visitors will be able to see a permanent exhibition related to the life of the Nobel laureate in Herceg Novi, but also through an electronic smart totem to familiarize themselves with other points of the ecomuseum/museum communities, as well as eco-museums in the Mediterranean network of eco-museums. The mentioned points represent cultural-historical, natural, material and immaterial heritage.
"The magic of Herceg Novi, which attracted the famous writer and his wife, but also many other artists and creative people such as Zuk Džumhur, Branko Ćopić, Mihailo Lalić, Petr Lubarda, Voj Stanić, continues to inspire the residents of Herceg Novi to create for the community and Many cultural layers, visible in the architecture of the city, the rich and colorful nature and vegetation, the sea and the mountains, obviously in some way encourage the activities of the inhabitants of this city, encourage them to create, paint, write, cook, play sports and revive old crafts ", they said from the Agency for Local Democracy, according to the announcement of the Municipality.
The institution states that this tourist package will be available as a two-hour walking tour and will be promoted through social networks and online tourist fairs during the validity of epidemiological measures, and, as they said, in the future it will be included in the network of tourist sub-offers.
"The package was created within the framework of the Co.Co. Tour project financed by the European Union through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II) and co-financed by the Ministry of Public Administration, Digital Society and Media," the announcement concludes.
