The OSCE mission in Montenegro donated IT equipment to civil society organizations

The OSCE mission (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) donated IT equipment to nineteen civil society organizations (CSOs), as part of a joint initiative to strengthen the capacity of CSOs in the use of digital platforms during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition to IT equipment, CSOs dealing with youth received Windows licenses and an annual license for a software platform for video and audio conferences, conversations and webinars.

"The equipment is a resource that these 19 CSOs will use in their daily work with young people and that will help us overcome the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, which we all face," said the executive director of the NGO Forum MNE Elvira Hadžibegović-Bubanja.

Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission in Montenegro Siv-Katrine Leirtroe said that the Mission continuously supports activities related to young people, which is especially important "at a time when our normal functioning is limited and requires additional efforts and resources."

This initiative was launched in the fall of 2020. It consisted of two basic and advanced training modules for capacity building, which improved participants' knowledge of available digital platforms and their application in daily work. Participants learned how to use different platforms for online meetings, trainings, conferences and/or research. The training offers an online tutorial on using digital platforms developed by trainers. By the end of March, it will be available to all interested CSOs.
