On the new website of the Assembly, in order to increase the transparency and openness of the Parliament's work, sets of open data ("open data") are available whose primary purpose is further use and re-publication and use.

The parliament explained that this newspaper enables the public to access the original data of the Assembly without obstacles, which greatly facilitates their analysis and use. The data published in this way, in addition to guaranteeing greater transparency of the work of the Assembly, enable the interested public to use the data multiple times, for different purposes, they emphasize in the announcement.

On the website, for now, it is possible to find five collections of data: the budget, the fleet, the list of officials and employees with titles and contacts, the list of deputies of the 27th convocation, and the salaries of deputies, appointed, elected and appointed persons. "Appreciating the importance of published data in this form, the plan is to publish other types of information, which, from the aspect of their reuse and use, may be interesting to the public," added the Assembly.

They point out that the Assembly publishes data in an open format on the Open Data Portal (data.gov.me), which represents the central database for the publication of open data of the state bodies of Montenegro. "The number of published collections of data on this site, in a very short time, ranked the Parliament of Montenegro among the institutions with the most published collections of information".

The Assembly also said that, bearing in mind the variety of data they possess, and recognizing the importance of their publication in a machine-readable, i.e. open format, the development of its own open data portal is planned in 2021.
