Trucks are not allowed to pass through Knjaza Danilo Street in Tološi.
This follows from the answer provided to "Vijesta" by the Secretariat for Traffic of the Capital City.
They announced that a traffic signal was installed at the intersection of Prince Danilo Street and Partizanski Road - a sign with an additional sign prohibiting the traffic of heavy, cargo and trailer vehicles.
"In this regard, we remind you that the provisions of the Decision on regulating traffic on the territory of the capital prescribe the sections (roads) on which the traffic of heavy, cargo and trailer vehicles is allowed, and Knjaza Danila Street and Partizanski Put Street are not included in the same, which implies that these roads the movement of the mentioned means of transport is not allowed," the Secretariat stated.
They answered the questions of "Vijesti" whether they are familiar with the request of the residents of Tološ, i.e. Knjaza Danilo Street, who ask that heavy machinery be prohibited from passing through that road and Partizanski Street, and whether something will be done about it.
"At the end of last year, the company 'Roads' carried out work on the construction of buffer banks in Knjaza Danila Street and filled potholes," added the Secretariat in response to the question of whether something will be done regarding the appeal of the locals to the capital city to repair the road and stop traffic and that the mayor, with his authority, influences that the law is respected and traffic is diverted to the right section.
As the locals complained to "Vijesta" two days ago, Knjaza Danila Street is in a catastrophic state due to trucks that use the 1.900-meter long road, which connects the main road to Mareza with the Nikšić highway, as an alternative route since the reconstruction of the section to Danilovgrad. share. For this reason, the locals appealed to prohibit the traffic of goods vehicles on that section, in order to ensure safe movement and enable them to live a normal life.
They pointed out that it is difficult for two cars to pass each other on the street, and now when trucks pass by, there is often a "congestion" of traffic, arguments happen, there was an accident recently, the road is damaged by machinery.
"If they don't immediately stop the traffic, carry out rehabilitation, before the reconstruction that is necessary, we will be forced to organize ourselves, to do something about it, so that no afterthought happens," local resident Boris Vratnica told "Vijesta".
