The new website of the "Budi human" Foundation will enable donations via payment cards, which will contribute to more efficient collection of funds for a greater number of sick children.
The executive director of the Budi Human Foundation, Goran Jovanović, told the PR Center that in Montenegro during the year, an average of 24 children were diagnosed with cancer.
Jovanović said that the goal of the project, which was supported through the "For the Good" contest, was to create a new website of the Foundation, which is now faster, more functional and more transparent, but also to enable donations via payment cards, which is unique and a so far unimplemented project.
"We divided the development of the site into two phases. The first is to arrange the design of the site. We changed the logo and the look of the site. It is much faster than before. We created a completely new design solution. In addition to being much faster, it is fully adapted to mobile devices, and it is also possible to carry out various creative actions through the site", explained Jovanović in a statement for the PR Center.
There are also special sections on the website where the Foundation's donors will be highlighted.
"In order for the Foundation to continue its activities and help as many children as possible in the best possible way, it is necessary to cooperate with socially responsible companies that will help the work and growth of the Foundation. The foundation currently helps children up to the age of 21 who were not helped by the Health Insurance Fund. "We plan to extend our activities to children with serious illnesses who were helped by the Health Fund, but they were not paid for other expenses they incur during treatment, such as accommodation, food, taxi services," said Jovanović.
On the website, as he stated, there is also a special area for Foundation ambassadors.
"These are reputable Montenegrin public figures from the world of acting, music, acting, media personalities, who, together with the Foundation, will carry out actions and support our children, all in order to collect money for their treatment as quickly and efficiently as possible. We are signing a memorandum of cooperation with them, which is based on friendship because we are all united in the same, humane goal," said Jovanović.
The second part of the project, as he clarified, is donation by payment cards, and negotiations are underway with the bank that should enable this.
"Donating with payment cards is extremely important to us, because it will enable the inclusion of the diaspora in the process of donating for our children. Until now, our people in the diaspora could only donate to the Foundation's foreign currency account, which was a problem because it required going to the bank and waiting in lines. Now it will be completely simplified and I believe that the diaspora will be a strong part of our humanitarian chain," explained Jovanović.
The approval to donate by payment cards should arrive in the next 15 days "and we expect the project to be finished in one and a half to two months at the latest".
The special value of Telekom's donation through the "For the Good" contest is that everything done will be a good basis for making electronic donation boxes.
"Until now, the foundation has not operated donor boxes, due to contact with cash." The Foundation functions by donating via SMS or paying into an account, and funds from the Foundation are exclusively paid for invoices submitted by parents for the treatment of children. The new site will allow us to create electronic donation boxes. It's our invention and it doesn't exist anywhere in the world," said Jovanović.
He pointed out that Telekom has been a friend of the Foundation since the beginning and that the first funds they received through the competition "For Everyone's Good" were very important for further development.
"It takes a lot of energy to make something like this. You have to have a motive, financial stability. And the basis of everything is children. All that we do is filled with great joy and great sadness. Because you can't be completely happy that one child got a chance, when you know that there are many more children who are facing serious health problems and need help," said Jovanović.
He believes that the most important thing is not to collect money to help a child, but to change as a society and to give ourselves to children.
"What always fills me and makes me endlessly happy is when I see that our little ones receive incredible love from parents, brothers, sisters, the whole family, and show that in fact, it is love that drives everything," said Jovanović.
