Stefan Jokić from Nikšić has won 38 medals in the six years he has been a member of the Sports and Recreational Society (SRD) Special Olympics Nikšić.
He won the last medals - gold and silver - a few days ago at the Special Olympics in Podgorica, where the championship in unified (inclusive) table tennis was held.
His coaches Radovan Dragnić and Miloš Perović point out that he is the best in athletics. Stefan says that he is equally good at table tennis, and he also plays football, basketball and darts.
"Stefan is the most outstanding athlete of the Nikšić Special Olympics. He is the best in athletics, in the 100-meter run, and in his division he almost always won first place," said Dragnić, who is also the president of the Nikšić Special Olympics.
Stefan points out that he loves all the sports he plays equally, that his parents are proud of him and that society congratulates him on every success.
"I look forward to every medal I win, especially the one I won recently when we competed in athletics at the 'Sutjeske' stadium, and I was the first," says the twenty-three-year-old.
He says that with his father he likes to watch tennis and Novak Djokovic, to support "Crvena zvezda" and "Sutjeska", and his favorite football player is Messi.
"I train something every day and I will continue to do that," said Stefan, who is a user of the Day Center for children with developmental disabilities and people with disabilities.
According to Dragnić, the Dnevni centar is responsible for the existence of the SRD Special Olympics, and they are grateful for the help and cooperation of the Ministry of Sports and the Special Olympics of Montenegro, as well as the schools "Dušan Bojović", "Olga Golović" and Ekonomska, with whom they have a good relationship. cooperation.
In addition to Dragnić and Perović, Radojko Koprivica is also a licensed coach of the Special Olympics.
Dragnić says that he hopes that Nikšić will become a football center of the Special Olympics, but also that Stefan, who is one of the potential candidates, will participate in the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi in March 2019.
"Our goal is to include all schools from Nikšić and children who are involved in inclusive education in the Special Olympics next year," said Dragnić.
