Tivat: Two people were rescued from a burning apartment

Two people were rescued from the fire that broke out in one of the flats in the center of Tivat shortly before 11 a.m., and minor material damage was caused in the incident.

According to the commander of the Protection Service of the Municipality of Tivat, Miodrag Giljaca, thanks to the quick report and effective intervention of the firefighters, two people who were not injured were evacuated from the burning apartment on the fourth floor of one of the slats.

In ten minutes, the firefighters localized and then completely extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to the rest of the apartment, so the damage was limited to only one room where the fire broke out, for reasons that have not yet been officially determined.

The entire duty shift of the Tivat Protection Service with six firefighters and four fire engines participated in the intervention.

Volunteer firefighters from the "Krtoli", "Tivat" and "Boka" associations and the residents of the building where the incident took place helped extinguish and rescue people from the burning apartment.

The president and vice-president of the Municipality of Tivat, Željko Komnenović and Vladimir Arsić, were on the spot.
