The President of the New Serbian Democracy Andrija Mandić, in his own name and on behalf of the membership, congratulated the Serbian Patriarch G. Porfiri, the Bishop of Budamlje-Nikšić and the administrator of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral G. Joaniki and all the faithful of the Serbian Orthodox Church and wished them to spend the Easter holidays in good health. and peace.
"Behind us is a year of great suffering in which we managed to build ourselves into those who defended the Church of Christ in Montenegro. We could not have done that without our archpastors who brought and strengthened the truth of Christ's resurrection among us - Metropolitan Amfilohi and Patriarch Irinej. Their leaving would have been an extremely sad thing and would have caused unbearable sadness and grief if they had not taught us the importance and value of the greatest holiday we celebrate," Mandić said in the congratulatory message.
Mandić also expressed his satisfaction that in these Easter days the Fundamental Agreement between the SPC and the State of Montenegro will be signed and stated that it is a great and significant event for Montenegro, which, through this agreement, will finally begin to look like itself, after years of betrayal and slander that he experienced from the regime of Milo Đukanović.
"May this great holiday give us wisdom, patience and courage to remain healthy in body and spirit and withstand every attack of those who are steeped in evil, fraud and hatred, and to persevere in the fight for those values that adorned our glorious ancestors. First of all let's not forget our holy Kosovo and Metohija and do everything to help as much as we can in the fight that the entire Serbian people lead to preserve the right to our holy land. The Serbian people, in all their areas, are facing numerous challenges and obstacles, but as always throughout history, faith in God, our unity and harmony will be stronger than all enemies," Mandic said.
