From today, mobile teams will be available to all patients who are unable to get to the vaccination point due to some illness or condition and will vaccinate them at home.
This is what the Podgorica Health Center answered to "Vijesta", when they were asked who they should turn to for older citizens who, due to chronic illnesses or disabilities, cannot go to the point and wait in lines.
"The application for this type of vaccination can be made through the call center 1717, but also by calling the health center, where the nurse in charge will take the necessary information so that we can meet our fellow citizens as soon as possible to vaccinate them at home", they announced from this institutions.
"News" was also addressed in the previous days by citizens who, due to their age and associated diseases, belong to the priority groups, but whom no one has yet invited to get vaccinated, even though they applied back in February or March.
We are talking about citizens who are more than 65, even 75 years old, and whose peers were vaccinated more than a month ago.
The Podgorica health center replied that their teams are working on organization and planning on how to best organize the vaccination of those groups.
"More precisely, how to avoid the crowds that characterized the first two days. One thing is certain - everyone who applied will be invited to get vaccinated, and there is enough vaccine, so there is absolutely no need to worry. All points, if we are talking about the capital city, have their own responsible nurses who are obliged to come out in front of the point, they do it every 10 to 15 minutes. Elderly persons have priority and we believe that fellow citizens will also agree that these persons have priority when it comes to vaccination", replied the Health Center.
In this institution, they also pointed out that the first days of mass vaccination are taking place with great interest from citizens, which is very encouraging.
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vesna Bratić received the first dose of the Sinofarm vaccine against the coronavirus yesterday at the University Center in Podgorica, thus supporting the mass immunization campaign.
Acting Rector of the University of Montenegro (UCG) Vladimir Božović also received the vaccine.
Bratić said that she trusts the institutions and supported health workers.
"I am getting vaccinated because I believe that immunization is the only way to defeat covid-19, preserve public health, and then the economy of our country," she said. Bratić appealed to all citizens to get vaccinated in large numbers so that Montenegro, with the joint contribution of the entire society, could defeat the pandemic and return to normal life.
