In Cetinje tomorrow (Tuesday, May 11), water delivery will be temporarily suspended from 10:00 a.m. to 19:00 p.m.
"The reason for this suspension is the disconnection of the voltage at the pumping station in Podgor, due to the planned works on the replacement of the existing main high-voltage switches in this facility with new vacuum high-voltage switches," announced the Cetinje Waterworks.
Vodovod clarified that it is about the realization of the investment "Procurement of new high-voltage switches with dismantling of the existing ones, delivery and commissioning", which was financed through the Law on the Capital City.
"The existing switches were installed in 1981, when the plant was built, so due to the years of exploitation, it is necessary to replace them with new ones. These are vital components, through which the pumping stations "Podgor" and "Višnjica" receive voltage and through which they are switched on The non-functionality of any of the mentioned switches would result in the cessation of operation of both plants, and therefore the cessation of pumping water from the water source in Podgoro, which would threaten the orderly water supply of the city," the announcement states. The city company apologized to the users and asked for their understanding.
