Adopted Information on the creation of conditions for the needs of conducting the population census

At today's session, the government adopted the Information on the creation of conditions for the needs of conducting the population census.

They said that, as part of the preparations for the upcoming population census, the Ministry of Public Administration, Digital Society and Media coordinates with competent institutions the implementation of data entry activities in the Register of House Numbers, Streets and Squares - Address Register by Municipality.

The analysis of the submitted data, as announced by the Government, concluded that the conditions for the procedure of data entry in this register to be implemented in all local self-government units have not been met.

The Information points out that the obligation to make a decision on the temporary name of settlements, streets and squares on the territory of the unit is the only one that was fulfilled by all local self-government units. The legal obligations relating to the determination of numbers for marking residential and commercial buildings and the installation of signs with the names of settlements, streets and squares and the numbers of residential and commercial buildings have been fully implemented by nine, while in 16 local governments the status of the implementation of these obligations is partial, they add from Governments.

"Since the legal deadline for the realization of all the above-mentioned obligations was June 30, 2020, the Government made the necessary conclusions for intensifying activities on the realization of the remaining obligations," the press release from the session states.

The government adopted the Information on the provision of money and the acquisition of used official vehicles through financial leasing with the obligation to return the leased item to the supplier for a period of one year, for the needs of the Police Administration.

The Government said that 715 thousand euros have been provided for this purpose.

The government adopted the fourteenth semi-annual report on the overall activities within the process of integration of Montenegro into the European Union, for the period July - December last year.

At the session, the twenty-eighth quarterly report on overall activities within the process of integration of Montenegro into the European Union, for the period October - December last year, was adopted.

The reports will, as stated, be submitted to the Assembly of Montenegro for consideration.

The National Plan for Protection and Rescue from Chemical and Biological Risks was adopted at the session.

The Government clarified that the plan includes a set of measures and actions undertaken in order to detect, prevent the occurrence, mitigate and eliminate the consequences of natural disasters, technical-technological accidents, as well as other major accidents that can threaten the population, material goods and the environment.

"All the above-mentioned activities are carried out in accordance with national, municipal and enterprise protection and rescue plans for various types of risks that threaten people, material and cultural goods and the environment in Montenegro," the announcement says.

At the session, it was assessed that the National Plan for Protection and Rescue from Chemical and Biological Risks determines the issue of chemical and biological risk assessment in a high-quality and comprehensive manner.

The Government said that the Proposal of the basis for conducting negotiations and concluding the Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of Hungary on the mutual recognition of immunization certificates has been determined.

The government assessed that the conclusion of the Agreement on mutual recognition of immunization certificates will facilitate the movement of citizens between the two countries, which will be of great economic benefit during the upcoming tourist season.

"Also, a significant number of Montenegrin students and citizens live and work in Hungary, so this measure will have a significant impact on improving the quality of their life and work," the announcement states.
