The fine for not wearing a mask in an open space, which is foreseen by the amendments to the Law on the Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases, applies exclusively to waiting in line in front of public institutions, banks, the post office and all other institutions that provide services to citizens, said Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović.
"Punishment for possibly not wearing masks in the open only applies to the special conditions of large crowds, waiting in line in front of public institutions, banks, the post office and the like", explained Borovinić Bojović.
She told the MINA agency that the amendment submitted by MPs Maja Vukićević and Milun Zogović is acceptable, that the punishment does not apply to revaccinated citizens.
The amendments to the Law provide for the mandatory use of masks during a stay in an open public place when waiting in line for the immediate provision of services in front of state bodies, state administration bodies, local self-government bodies and local administration bodies, public institutions and other entities that exercise public powers, legal entities and entrepreneurs. in which services are provided to citizens, organizing games of chance and other things.
For not wearing a mask, a fine of 30 euros is provided for natural persons, and up to 30 thousand euros for legal entities.
