The Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG) employees' union at the Union of Free Trade Unions warned the members of the Council of that media company in a letter that they are not familiar with the new act on systematization and that they demand that the management document be presented to the workers.
"I sent an email to the members of the Council, in which I informed them that we, as a trade union, do not have the right to participate in the creation of systematization, nor to propose it, but we do have the right, that is, the management is obliged to present the document to the workers and unions before adoption. And they have to give us time to give us comments, objections, suggestions...", said the president of that union, Jadranka Drobnjak.
The RTCG management recently submitted to the Council a systematization plan, according to which the current number is expected to increase by over 30 more jobs.
Drobnjak pointed out that the management is not obliged to adopt the Union's proposals, but that there is a procedure that must be followed.
"That's why I mentioned to the members of the Council that this is a very important act for the workers and for the very sustainability of RTCG. On the other hand, the new Council is in the process, the new management is coming, it would not be correct, perhaps if not business-wise, then humanly, to discuss it, and they should leave it to the new council and management".
Drobnjak emphasized that a large part of the workers retired, and that RTCG has about forty part-time employees.
"These people, part-timers, work very hard, they are hardworking, they are often fired for two months, and then they are called again. These people are necessary for us, because we persistently call them. Management calls them back to work, reducing their fees, with the promise of a solution. If we knew that they are systematizing because of these people, we would give approval. But I don't think it has anything to do with them," said Drobnjak.
When asked by "Vijesti" whether the 735 employees that the media company currently has are too many and whether there are people who have not come to work for years, Drobnjak confirms that the information is correct.
“Too many people, yes. All that is true and that people do not come to work. Every director starts a story with that, and then promptly forgets it. It's very easy to find the payroll and see what certain people are doing, but it's something that exists, whether these people were protected - I don't know that. But, it definitely exists," replied Drobnjak.
Over 700 people, as she pointed out, is the collapse of television, financially or otherwise.
"And of course when there are people who don't come to work and receive high salaries, then those who work will also work less. They have no motive. The last two or three directors started to solve it, but it turns out they haven't even started. I am not in favor of bringing in experts from the outside, at the moment the management does not have experts who are familiar with digitization, for us systematization must accompany digitization. The problem is that this management, which is not familiar with digitization, is doing systematization. If the systematization followed the digitization itself, they would be a great Public Service".
Asked to comment on the management's explanation for the introduction of the Parliamentary Channel and the Podgorica Chronicle, she pointed out that the program dedicated to events in the capital was broadcast three years ago.
"That's what people with permanent employment do. The parliamentary channel, I'm not sure, it needs to be examined a bit, what the Parliament is asking of us. There is nothing that would burn if it had to be done in this way," concluded Drobnjak.
