Works on small hydropower plants (MHP) in Kraljski Bari and Rečina are temporarily prohibited, it was confirmed to "Vijesti" in the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism.
"A construction ban has been imposed on the mentioned buildings. Further verification and analysis of the factual situation is underway," said the Directorate for Inspection Affairs.
In those two Kolašin villages, local protests have been going on since last summer, that is, fall.
The company "Dekar energy" started the construction of three HPPs on watercourses in Kraljski Bari.
Locals have been preventing the continuation of construction for ten months, demanding the termination of concession contracts and the cancellation of building permits for the construction of the MHP.
During the past two weeks, they repeatedly prevented the contractor of the MHE form from reaching the construction site.
At the protest held yesterday, they repeated that the concessionaire violated the law and the concession contract in several ways.
They also claim that they have submitted evidence of this to the relevant ministries.
In Rečina, part of the property owners and local residents oppose the continuation of the construction of the Skrbuša HPP on the Rečnska Rijeka.
The concession for that watercourse was obtained by the company Hydro logistics.
Last week, there was a construction inspection at the construction sites in both villages.
