Officers of the Department for Unexploded Ordnance in the Directorate for Protection and Rescue of the Ministry of the Interior seized two shells from the Second World War, which were found yesterday afternoon in the municipality of Kolašin.
One shell was found in the town of Jabuka during construction work, and the other in Mateševo, and it is a cannon shell, also from the Second World War, which was found by CRBC workers during work on the rehabilitation of the site where they were located.
"Both unexploded ordnance were removed and transported in the prescribed manner and will be destroyed in accordance with the prescribed procedures and standards," the statement of the MUP states.
The Directorate for Protection and Rescue appealed to citizens that if they find similar devices, they should not touch or move them, but to report it to the number 112 of the Operations and Communication Center of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue.
