Tonight at 19:XNUMX p.m. members of the Association of NOR Fighters (UBNOR) and anti-fascists from Nikšić will gather tonight at Freedom Square, near the monument to national hero Čedomir Ljub Čupić, as a sign of protest for the uncivilized act of a Nikšić citizen who urinated on the monument last night.
Fighters and anti-fascists want to draw attention to the need to protect both Ljub's monument and all memorials throughout Montenegro.
"We must defend Ljub's monument from all those who desecrate it. We have to defend our sanctuaries more," said UBNOR president Slobodan Mirjačić.

He reminded that there are 152 monuments in Nikšić.
"All of them have been attacked. Only Ljub's monument has been attacked twice in the last six months. If we don't defend Ljub Čupić, whose smile and heroism are known all over the world, how will we protect the other monuments and other cultural heritage of Montenegro," said Mirjačić.
He said that today's gathering should be supported by the entire progressive and anti-fascist Montenegro.
