It is ugly that such events are used for attacks on political opponents, because they are incidents that occur at any time, said the mayor of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević.
Kovačević believes that this kind of act is bad because it happened in the very center of the city and in a public place first of all, and only then because one of the monuments in the center served as a cover for the person who did this.
He said in a statement for "Onogošt" that "no one can be responsible for the fact that someone decided to, in an obviously drunken state, discharge their physiological needs like this, except for the person who did it."
"If we are already going to deal with civilizational values, I would like colleagues from the opposition political camps to express themselves about whether the bones of people from the pits around Nikšić should be taken out and given a dignified burial, or whether their awareness has not yet reached the level that they can recognize these people's right to grave? Their ideologically colored view of the world unfortunately prefers a bronze statue to the man himself and prefers the stolen millions of their boss to a better life for our citizens. They will get an opportunity from the new government to advance in inheriting the basic values of humanity and to jointly launch an initiative to give them a dignified burial the remains of people who ended up in the pits around Nikšić. Everything will be seen in relation to that issue, and we have heard their empty stories that were smokescreens for looting this country in the past three decades, and we know very well what their essence is," he concluded. is Kovačević.
