The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, based on the request of educational institutions, and after the public procurement procedure, made a decision on the allocation of passenger vehicles for the permanent disposal of educational institutions, it was announced from this department.
They said that thirty new vehicles have been provided, of which twenty-two have arrived so far, and which, after the prescribed legal procedure, will be handed over to the schools.
Primary schools in Podgorica whose students will use these vehicles are "Božidar Vuković Podgoricanin", "Šćepan Đukić" and Resource Center "1. June".
Primary school "Risto Manojlović" will be available from Kolašin, "Jovan Tomašević" in Virpazar, and "Džafer Nikočević" in Gusinje.
Students of the high school of medicine "Bećo Bašić" from Plav will also be able to use the services of these vehicles, "25 maj" from Tuza, "Dušan Korać" from Bijelo Polje.
Other elementary schools that will have transportation services available are "Braća Ribar", "9.maj" and "Milova Jelić" from Bijelo Polje, "Ristan Pavlović" and "Dušan Ivović" from Pljevlje, "Vladislav Rajko Korać" and "Polica " from Beran.
Elementary school "Bukovica" from Rožaj, "Petar Dedović" from Plav, "Pavle Kovačević" from Grahov, "Savin Bor" from Petnjica, and "Milić Keljanović" from Andrijevica.
From this department, they said that by handing over new school buses to educational institutions, they aim to provide dignified conditions for the transportation of all students.
They pointed out that the school buses are yellow, which is used for safety reasons, and which is characteristic in all modern societies.
"By providing these buses to students, who walked several kilometers to get to class, better access to education was enabled, as well as a pleasant, safe and quality environment on the way from home to school. Also, with this type of support, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and sports emphasizes that accessibility to education and improving the quality of education is a priority of the Ministry and that it represents an investment in the future of Montenegrin society as a whole," the Ministry's announcement states.
