This year, the municipality of Pljevlja allocated 560.000 euros for energy efficiency measures for individual buildings and buildings that are heated from the city's boiler house in Skerlićeva Street.
The implementation of this measure aims to reduce air pollution in the northernmost Montenegrin city, by reducing the use of energy sources for heating residential and commercial spaces.
"In order to improve energy efficiency and reduce pollution, the Municipality of Pljevlja, through the implementation of its own budget, continues with the energy efficiency measures of buildings, so that the capital budget has allocated 560.000 euros for these purposes, and 280.000 euros for energy efficiency measures for buildings that are heated from the boiler room in Skerlićeva Street, and an additional 280.000 euros for energy efficiency measures for individual housing facilities in the city. The tender procedure for the open public procurement procedure, which refers to the preparation of the Report on the detailed energy audit for the buildings that are heated from the boiler house in Skerlićeva Street in Pljevlja, which is carried out by the Municipality of Pljevlja, will end on Tuesday, June 15," they said in to the local administration
The goal of the energy inspection of buildings is to identify the current state of energy consumption, analyze cost-effective energy efficiency measures that will reduce energy consumption, energy costs, greenhouse gas emissions, and maintain thermal comfort in buildings at an appropriate level.
"Due to the necessity of setting priorities in the program, the local self-government of Pljevlja is preparing an energy audit report for each building that is heated from the boiler house in Skerlićeva, with a total gross surface area of 26.180 square meters for 21 buildings. By selecting the contractor, the scope of work will be defined based on the existing state of the buildings, that is, according to the proposed variants of measures, the specific consumption of thermal energy will be determined for each building and measure individually, as well as the effects of reducing pollution", the local administration points out.
The report, in accordance with the tender documentation, must contain data on the energy consumption of each building, data on the compliance of the characteristics of the building, that is, the facility with technical regulations on the energy characteristics of buildings and other regulations on energy efficiency.
It will also contain a proposal for measures to reduce energy consumption and improve energy efficiency with an assessment of energy savings and how to determine it in variants, an assessment of the economic profitability of implementing measures to improve energy efficiency for each variant, recommendations for energy management in order to improve energy efficiency, a recapitulation of energy measures in the construction part with the estimated value of the works and the table of specific heat energy consumption by variants and with the optimal variant.
After the selection of the contractor and preparation of the report, the Municipality of Pljevlja will, through a public call, start the procedure of energy equipping priority residential buildings that use heating from the boiler house in Skerlićeva Street.
Through the energy efficiency program, the government allocated around 500.000 euros last year for the implementation of measures on buildings that are heated from the boiler room in Skerlićeva Street.
Through the implementation of that program, 11 buildings in the inner city core for which the energy audit was carried out with donor funds from UNDP, met the previous heating season in an energy efficient manner.
