The former Minister of Science apparently forgot that, as the proposer of the Law on Innovation Activities that the Parliament passed on 30.07.2020, Article 40 provided for the formation of the Council for Innovation within 60 days from the entry into force of this Law, announced the Minister of Economic Development Jakov Milatović.
He reacted to the claims of the former Minister of Science and Vice President of the Democratic Party of Socialists, Sanja Damjanović, that the Council for Innovation and Smart Specialization was constituted on August 1, 2019.

Milatović wrote on his Twitter account that the former minister should have proposed the Act on the Establishment of the Innovation Fund to the Government for adoption within 30 days.
"Has the former minister, in the heat of the hot election campaign, forgotten her obligations? Every good student knows that "Repetitio mater studorium est", he wrote.
That's why, Milatović points out, the team of the Ministry of Economic Development did both things and many others in order to improve the innovation activity in Montenegro.
"And one more thing - science and innovation existed in Montenegro even before the mandate of the former Minister of Science, and they exist after her, and they are in good hands," he said.
