Vice President of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and former Minister of Science Sanja Damjanović said that the Minister of Economic Development Jakov Milatović did "one big nothing" for the scientific and innovative community of Montenegro in seven months.
"The soon-to-be former Minister of Economic Development decided to 'teach', in an extremely rude way, the disbanded Ministry of Science, which was the pride of Montenegro. Well, Minister, when it comes to renewing the materials. In the 7 months of your ministry, you have done one big NOTHING for the scientific and innovative community of Montenegro. Zero euros for innovative projects, zero euros for scientific research projects, zero euros for the development of startups, zero euros for PhD scholarships, zero euros for the development of the IT community, zero used legal incentives for the development of research and innovation, zero funded projects by the Innovation Fund, centers of excellence without funding, zero new initiatives, and finally zero results," says Damjanović in his reply to the minister.
"The saddest thing of all is that you chased away the largest infrastructural scientific research and medical project SEEIIST of 250 million euros and handed it over to another state. You don't have to bother much, just implement what are your legal obligations, the tenders and programs that we have given you we created and left on the table, in order to support our innovative community that knows very well who and what has done for them. In what hands are science and innovation, they will give the EC assessment, and in the meantime you, perhaps for the sake of literature, could visit Government website where you happen to be sitting or the European Commission website to discover a big secret. Who received the best rating in the region in this area? The question is now," concluded Damjanović.
