The Government and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIP) are firmly committed to proactively and comprehensively creating the basis for the fight against all forms of transnational crime. This was announced at today's meeting of the newly formed interdepartmental working group for the development of a national strategy for the fight against transnational crime for the period from next year to 2025. The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the goal of the national strategy is to define a clear course of action and link the institutions that are provided by law for the fight against organized crime. It is stated that the representatives of the competent institutions at the meeting expressed their willingness to actively cooperate and exchange information in these matters, based on the principles of interoperability. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Sergej Sekulović, called on all members of the working group to give additional quality to the process with constructive proposals and suggestions, in order to create the necessary preconditions for the successful implementation of the planned measures and activities. "An unshakable and system-based fight against organized crime is one of the key goals that this Government has set for itself, for the sake of the general prosperity of this society," emphasized Sekulović. As announced, the meeting was an opportunity to exchange opinions on all potential challenges in the work and express determination in achieving the set goals. In addition to Sekulović, who chairs the working group, the meeting was attended by State Secretary in the MUP Zoran Miljanić, Acting Police Director Zoran Brđanin. "As well as representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Police Directorate, the National Security Agency, the Special State Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Justice, Human and Minority Rights, ICITAP, the Revenue and Customs Administration, the Norwegian Center for Integrity in the Security Sector (CIDS)," he states. in the announcement.
