Đurašković, executive director of the Regional Waterworks

The Board of Directors of the Regional Waterworks of the Montenegrin Coast appointed Josip Đurašković as executive director.

Previously, at the session, the current executive director, Goran Jevrić, was relieved of his duties.

As stated in the statement signed by the president of the Board of Directors, Zoran Lakušić, Jevrić was dismissed because "...caused damage to the Company through negligent and improper work, by not taking measures and actions based on the analysis of the available data on it".

"That the yield of the Bolje Sestre source, from which water is supplied to six coastal municipalities for a decade and a half, has been reduced by more than 80 percent. Because it did not undertake activities in accordance with its responsibilities based on the data on the reduction of yield below the projected capacity of the water supply system and that this situation represents a serious danger, and that in the tourist season the coast could be without sufficient water. It did not respond adequately to the drastic trend of the decline in the yield of the Bolje sestre water source. It did not fully realize the planned financial obligations, which resulted in a loss in the amount of €198 for 847,00," states the statement signed by Lakušić.

The press release states that Đurašković is a doctoral student at the European University in Belgrade and that in his long career he worked for the longest time as the executive director of Planika Montenegro.

"He performed the duties of head of the internal audit service, as well as assistant to the executive director of Budva Water and Sewerage. At the University of the Mediterranean, he was engaged as an expert in practice on the subjects of Strategic Management and Leadership. He is a participant in a large number of scientific and professional conferences, and has published more scientific papers in international journals in the field of economics and management," the announcement states.
