Mitrović: Find the best way to realize the idea of ​​building a regional recycling center

Building a regional recycling center is one way to solve the problem of waste management. The representatives of seven municipalities agreed today at a meeting with the Minister of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism, Ratko Mitrović, that its construction is necessary.

The participants of the meeting agreed that the municipalities are facing a big problem of waste management and supported the initiative to build a regional recycling center.

"It was established that the first step in this direction is the preparation of a study in which the basic parameters essential for the realization of this large and complex project would be clearly defined, such as the amount of waste, distance from municipalities and transport costs, the technology that would be used during waste processing , as well as the necessary financial resources", it was announced after the meeting.

Mitrović, reports CGNews, stated that the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism will as soon as possible, in cooperation with municipalities and expert consultants, begin the preparation of a feasibility study and form a Commission with the task of finding the best modalities for realizing the idea of ​​building a regional recycling center.

The meeting organized by the president of Nikšić Municipality Marko Kovačević was also attended by Igor Jovanović and Dušan Bugarin from the MEPPU Ecology Directorate, the presidents of the municipalities of Žabljak, Šavnik, Plužine and Tivat, Veselin Vukićević, Jugoslav Jakić, Mijuško Bajagić and Željko Komnenović, the vice president of the Municipality of Kotor, Siniša Kovačević, secretary of the Secretariat for the Protection of Nature and Cultural Heritage of the Municipality of Kotor, Bojana Petković, secretary of the Secretariat for Communal Activities, Ecology and Energy Efficiency of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, Dejan Radonić and director of DOO "Čistoća" from Herceg Novi, Vasilije Seferović. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the NGO sector.
