After Bork, on the territory of the Durmitor National Park, another bear was caught and marked for telemetry monitoring.
The female in question weighs only 77 kilograms and has not yet had offspring.
The Center for the Protection and Study of Birds (CZIP) stated that this is the first female bear to be tracked for scientific purposes in Montenegro, and she was named Goranka.
"We would like to thank professor and mentor Slaven Reljić, doctoral student Nataša Babić, as well as Durmitor National Park ranger, Milić Janjić Bat, without whom this endeavor would not have been possible," he writes on the CZIP Facebook page.
