Several old pine trees were cut down near the construction site of the new "Zetagradnje" buildings in the Zagorič neighborhood of Podgorica.
The trees were cut down on the plot above the road, which led to the former military warehouse, and several citizens contacted "Vijesti" and pointed out that they were shocked by this act.
"It is not clear to me why the pines were cut down, they were there for decades," said a fellow citizen.
"Zetagradnja" did not answer to "Vijesta" whether their workers cut down the pine trees and why.
As the "Čelebić" company informed "Vijest", they did not undertake any activities at the location in question.
They explained that at the moment in Zagorič they are working exclusively within the framework of the fenced plot, and that they have not yet started the arrangement of the promenade by the coast.
"The planned development of the area along the Morača coast has not started. Our goal is to make the location even greener, not to cut down the existing trees", they announced from "Čelebić".
