Protest over the announcement of Radulović's dismissal: A successful headmistress is being replaced in addition to many schools where a change is appropriate

Due to the announcement of the dismissal of the principal of the Elementary School "Oktoih" in Podgorica, Mirjana Radulović, a protest was announced in front of that public institution.

A member of the Parents' Council of that school, Boris Ristović, wrote on Facebook that it was a sincere pleasure to cooperate with her and her team.

"...monitor how the school environment is improved - starting with infrastructure and hygienic and sanitary conditions, all the way to extended stay and additional school sections. Moreover, with the support of the American Embassy - our school actively participated in a pioneering project of cooperation between the school and the local community through the Club of Parents, Teachers and Children of Elementary School Oktoih. If it could have been better - it probably was. However, in a school whose number of students exceeds the spatial capacity, with pronounced inclusive programs aimed at children with special needs, vulnerable groups and immigrants, and after the exhausting COVID19 school year that has come to an end - it is really unclear to me the decision to replace a successful headmistress, in addition to, of course, a large number of schools in which it was necessary to make appropriate changes in the management structures", Ristović added.

The decisions of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports on the dismissal of a large number of directors, and especially some of the appointments, caused a great storm in the public.

The appointment of Rada Višnjić, a repeatedly suspended teacher, as the acting director of Elementary School Yugoslavia in Bar attracted the most attention.

The Ministry did not advertise today.
