The Days of the Diaspora event in Bijelo Polje continued tonight with a performance by a poet and an exhibition of paintings by artists originating from Montenegro.
The painters who exhibited donated six works, and 2.500 euros, which was collected from the sale of four paintings, was donated to the Day Center "Tisa".
"Bijelo Polje and the surrounding towns of Polim have always been a meeting place of artists and a nursery of the intellect, from where the greats of the written word spread around the world, gifting the world heritage with jewels that are still recognized today as some of the most significant values of the world's cultural heritage," said the Acting Director of the Administration for cooperation with the Seid Hadžić diaspora.
He said this tonight in the House of Risto Ratković, where a poetry evening was held as part of the "Diaspora Days" program and an exhibition of paintings by artists from this area was opened.

Tonight, a poetry evening was held, after which an exhibition of paintings by artists Zvonko Pavličić, Momir Knežević, Skender Bajrović, Petr Vujošević, Pero Nikčević was opened. The exhibition was of a humanitarian nature and the artists donated one of their works.
Zoran Đukanović, the advisor of the Administration for cooperation with the diaspora, said that the humanity of the people living in the diaspora, who are known for their charity and helping everyone in need, has been confirmed for the umpteenth time.
"All the artists whose works are exhibited donated one painting each, and after the sale, 2.500 euros were collected, which were handed over to the Day Center "Tisa", said Đukanović.
The founder of the manifestation "Days of Diaspora - Expatriates" is the Directorate for Cooperation with Diaspora - Expatriates, which in cooperation with the Municipality of Bijelo Polje organizes two-day programs with guests of honor and numerous topics, among which discussions about maintaining ties of emigrants with their motherland, Montenegro, dominate.
As part of the event, a concert by the guitar duo - Srdjan Bulatovic and Darko Nikcevic was held.
