After a year of the new government, only the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) can be satisfied with the results achieved: it received, according to its will, the amended Law on Freedom of Religion, it registered Montenegrin sacred and cultural heritage in its name, it created conditions for new construction and business ventures , and what is especially important - appointed her trusted man to the post of metropolitan of Montenegrin-Limitor, Matica Montenegrin announced today.

The enthronement ceremony of Metropolitan Joaniki of Montenegrin and Littoral, in the presence of the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Porfiri, will be held on September 4 in Cetinje, it was confirmed earlier by Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) from the SPC.

"Very quickly, the Belgrade Patriarchate liquidated the legacy of the late Amfilohi Radović, abolished the Episcopal Council, and completely dispelled the naive belief of a part of the citizens in the possibility - even if it was supposed! - of the autonomy of the Serbian Church in Montenegro.
