Due to the spread of fires in the Tara canyon, burning trees and stones falling down, there is a danger for tourists rafting down the river, the National Parks of Montenegro announced.
They informed the rafting organizers that the situation with the fire is alarming and that they carry out the activity at their own risk.
"The protection service of NP Durmitor is doing everything possible to stop the spread of the fire, which is growing to enormous proportions that can threaten human lives," said the director of NP Durmitor, Pero Popović.
NPCG appeals to all users of the space of all five protected areas to treat the total natural, cultural and material values with maximum responsibility and to avoid jeopardizing human lives.
