The school year for around 95.000 students in Montenegrin primary and secondary schools started today, and the oldest primary school in Podgorica "Savo Pejanović" held a short ceremonial reception for the 75th generation of champions.
Acting director Zoran Đukić wished the champions that their future successes would make both teachers and parents proud.
"To reach a level of knowledge that will be a sure support for building the tower of knowledge, which will provide you with a high level of education and a high position in society. Dear champions, you are the 75th generation of the oldest school in Podgorica. Today, you are starting a long road paved with letters, numbers, signs, symbols...", said Đukić.
He also promised the first-year students that the school would cooperate with their parents in their education.
"In order to become honorable and good people", Djukić said.
The students of the older classes also prepared a short program for their little friends.
Recitations and choreography followed, after which the first graders had their temperatures taken and sat down in the student benches for the first time.
