The Administration for Statistics (Monstat) has prepared the draft law on the census, and the public discussion and proposal of the law is the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance and Social Welfare, as the proposer of the law, Monstat announced.
"The legal basis for the implementation of the Census of Population, Households and Dwellings is the Law on the Census of Population, Households and Dwellings, which is adopted immediately before the start of the census. The law regulates the rules for the preparation, organization and implementation of the Census of Population, Households and Dwellings, with the aim of obtaining comprehensive data on the population, households and apartments", the statement of the Directorate of Statistics states.
They add that the census of the population, households and apartments is a statistical survey that is carried out every ten years.
"With the aim of obtaining data on the total number of inhabitants, as well as the basic demographic, educational, economic and other characteristics of the basic units of the census (persons, households and apartments) down to the lowest territorial level (settlement). The census provides comprehensive, high-quality and internationally comparable data , which are extremely important for the creation of macroeconomic, social, education policy and others," the announcement states.
