Ćorić: Vaccination is voluntary, but those who supposedly defend their own are endangering the rights of the vast majority of citizens

Vaccination against the coronavirus in Montenegro is voluntary, but, on the other hand, we warn once again that those who allegedly defend their own are endangering the rights of the vast majority of citizens to remain healthy and safe, said Slađana Ćorić, director general of the Directorate for Health Protection in the Ministry of Health. .

The announcement adds that Ćorić, when asked "what is the goal of gatherings without masks and distancing?" said that it is irreparable damage while health care is burning.

"And then is anyone surprised by the change in the epidemiological picture in Montenegro? That is the only comment from the Ministry of Health after all the public gatherings where masks are not worn and distance is not kept despite all local and international warnings that such behavior causes irreparable damage that we witness every day. "Just in case, we remind you that doctors do not walk around and spread the infection, but rather welcome in hospitals the victims, most often, of the irresponsible behavior of their immediate environment," said Ćorić.

She said that "the Ministry of Health once again calls on all competent services to be efficient beyond their capabilities, just like the staff from burns in hospitals, when controlling the current measures in the fight against the coronavirus".

"Otherwise, we will advocate for even more rigorous restrictions, with the aim of preserving public health, defending science and all human lives, which, by previous actions, are directly and, some would say, deliberately endangered. Thank you to each and every one of the over 230 citizens who have been immunized so far, which is over 50 percent of adults," concluded Ćorić.
