Milacic called on deputies to vote on changes to the Law, DF: We will appear only if necessary

The president of Prava Montenegro and member of the Parliament of Montenegro, Marko Milačić, today invited all members of parliament to come to the plenary session in the Parliament and, as he said, vote on the amendments to the Law on Higher Education.

At today's extraordinary session of the Assembly, the proposal of the Law of Montenegro to amend the Law on Higher Education should be considered, thereby extending the deadline for enrollment in specialist studies and for the completion of master's studies without additional tuition fees for another two years.

"At least in the narrow sense this has to do with politics, at least with party politics. This concerns a large number of students," said Milačić at today's session of the Committee for Education, Science, Culture and Sports, where his proposals for changes to the law are being considered.

Member of the Committee and representative of the Democratic Front (DF), Dragan Bojović, said that since the DF is boycotting, he will not appear at the Assembly session "unless it is necessary and necessary for this law to pass".

"If necessary, we will of course support this initiative, but we believe that this law will pass," said Bojović.

Earlier today, several DF MPs unofficially confirmed to "Vijesta" that due to today's extraordinary session, they will not interrupt the boycott of plenary sessions that began in June after the dismissal of Justice Minister Vladimir Leposavic and the adoption of the Resolution on Srebrenica.

Back in July, Prava Montenegro sent the President of the Assembly Aleksa Bečić a request for an extraordinary session of the Parliament of Montenegro, in order to vote as soon as possible on the draft law on amendments to the Law on Higher Education.
