The students of the Secondary Vocational School in Pljevlja, 34 of them, will attend practical classes at the Coal Mine, it was announced from the largest company in Pljevlja.
The agreement on cooperation between the Vocational High School and Rudnik Uglja was signed today by directors Bojan Strunjaš and Milan Lekić.
Thanking Lekić and the management of Rudnik Uglja for "opening the door for high school students from Pljevlja", Strunjaš said that in the future, the students would attend practical classes in this company under the watchful eye of practical teachers and instructors of Rudnik Uglja, who would teach students in the best possible way for their future occupations.
"Among the 34 students who will practice at the Coal Mine, nine of them are educated under the dual system (welder and electrician educational programs), and the other students are road traffic technicians and drivers," Strunjaš pointed out.
He explained that the dual system of education is based on learning through work, and that students who attend theoretical classes and exercises at school will acquire and perfect the knowledge, skills and abilities that are necessary for efficient and productive work in certain professions through work for the employer.
Therefore, adds Strunjaš, on behalf of the Management of the Secondary Vocational School, I express immense gratitude to Director Lekić and the management of Rudnik Uglja, who understood the educational needs of our students.
Strunjaš also thanked Lekić for the donation, which he said will be used for the purchase of materials necessary for practical teaching in school workshops, as well as for the purchase of quality computer equipment without which the educational process in the 21st century is unthinkable.
"This gesture by Rudnik's management shows that this company is finally returning to Pljevlje and the people of Pljevlja after many years. Investing in the education of our high school students is a direct investment in a more beautiful and brighter future for our city and Montenegro," concluded Strunjaš.
Lekić "expressed his personal and professional satisfaction" that Rudnik Uglja will have the opportunity this year to participate in the program of dual education and maintenance of practical classes for students from the Vocational High School.
"As a socially responsible company, we will meet all our high school students and offer them the most correct conditions for acquiring practical training in our company. As someone who comes from a technical profession, I know very well that without adequate practical training, theoretical knowledge is insufficient. Our engineers and masters with decades of experience, they are certainly people from whom our students will have something to learn, while according to the concept of dual education, they will be provided with adequate financial compensation for practical work," said Lekić.
He supported the concept of dual education in our school and invited other companies that are able to strongly support this concept of education.
"The lack of quality and qualified workforce is an issue that burdens far more developed countries than Montenegro. Therefore, I am convinced that this cooperation between our company and the Vocational High School will ensure the good success of students who will be proud of their home school, and I believe that A coal mine or some other company will get quality craftsmen in perspective," concluded Lekić.
Vladica Avramović, the coordinator of the professional team for working with gifted students, presented the guests from Rudnik Uglja with a professional laboratory where practical lessons from professional modules in the field of electrical engineering take place.
