Martina Grandis, a ninth-grade student of Elementary School "Ivo Visin" from Prčanje, is the winner of the competition for the most beautiful letter in 2021, organized by the Post of Montenegro.
She was given a laptop computer as a reward.
The theme of this year's Competition was "Write a letter to a family member about your experience with Covid-19".
The camera, the second prize, was won by Veljko Popović, a seventh-grade student of the Elementary School "Olga Golović" from Nikšić, while the third-placed Anđela Jovanović, a student of the eighth grade of the Elementary School "Vuko Jovović" from Danilovgrad, won a mobile phone.
A special prize, a bicycle, went to Srpko Kadrić, a fifth-grade student at "Vladimir Nazor" Primary School from Podgorica.
Due to the quality of their works, the following students were especially praised: Jakša Jovanović, Elementary School "Vladmir Nazor", Podgorica; Darinka Račić, Elementary School "Vukajlo Kukalj", Šekular, Berane; Nikolina Stevović, elementary school "Dašo Pavičić", regional department Igalo, Herceg Novi Ylleza Rama, elementary school "Maršal Tito", Ulcinj; Anđelka Banićević, elementary school "Ilija Kišić", Zelenika, Herceg Novi and Ksenija Pestorić, elementary school "Ilija Kišić", Zelenika, Herceg Novi.
The Executive Director of the Post of Montenegro, Dragan Tufegdžić, reminded that October 9 is celebrated as a reminder of the day when the Universal Postal Union was formed in Bern in 1874.
He emphasized that the Post of Montenegro has a reason to mark this day especially, considering that Montenegro is one of the countries that have been members of this umbrella postal organization since the day of its establishment.
Tufegdžić thanked the participants of the Competition for the most beautiful letter.

"The competition is proof that the written word does not lose its importance regardless of technological development. The Post is developing and digitalizing its services, but the letter, as a traditional Post service and as a symbol of the Post, survives. The Competition is the way to promote this segment as well," he said. is Tufegdžić.
Slavica Ilinčić, Director of the Directorate for Preschool, Basic and Inclusive Education of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, said that in the time of dominance of information technology, it is nice to see that children are also attracted to other forms of communication, that they are able to see beauty and make their contribution developing and preserving community and solidarity.
"School is the place where you acquire your first knowledge, build on it, sharpen it, build your own style and enrich your aesthetic, visual and every other culture, and your teachers give you selfless support with their skills in this, encouraging you to make all of this a permanent part of your personality Such events motivate you to apply everything you have learned in the best way, and that is why there should be more and more of them," said Ilinčić.
