In the Podgorica elementary school "Savo Pejanović" in the coming period they plan to renovate the basement rooms, in order to get additional space for classes. The plan is to modernize the cabinets with projectors and computers.

This was announced by the school director Zoran Djukic, pointing out that the basement rooms are in bad condition.

"We will try to renovate that space, which is in a really bad state. We would thus get three offices, we are planning to build a library with a reading room, where the parents of our students could also come", said Đukić.

He pointed out that it is necessary to provide computers and projectors for all classrooms in order to modernize teaching.

"When I came to the position of director, I saw that no cabinet had a computer and a projector. We stayed at the level we had 30 years ago, chalk and blackboard, and I'm against that. We will try to provide them through parents, former students of the school, of whom there are indeed many, who are now successful people. We are creating a fund, so through the fund and in cooperation with the parents, we will provide money for that, so that they can have active classes", said Đukić.

As he pointed out, the school building is also in a bad condition, although some repairs were done earlier.

"When I visited the building, the premises, I saw that the condition was very bad," said Djukic.

As he pointed out, the plan is to involve the students as directly as possible in the teaching process, and apart from the introduction of the chess section, there will be more new content for the little ones.

"The teaching process can be improved. We will make what the children ask for. Every Wednesday we have a tribune, where people who are involved in music, sports, and poets come. Miodrag Perunović participated recently, we are arranging for Ivan Strugar to come. We had a musical evening, where the students participated", says Đukić.

The school organized a chess competition last week, in which 69 students participated, and it is planned to be held in Tuzi, in the Gymnasium there, in Golubovci.

He pointed out that the school has a future, which is confirmed by the fact that one hundred more students were enrolled this school year compared to last year.

"This is proof that the parents recognized us and decided to enroll their students with us. This was contributed by the fact that they introduced an extended stay for pupils up to the fourth grade, and it turned out to be a complete hit", added Đukić.
