100.000 Sinovaks arrived in Montenegro, Borovinić Bojović: I am sure that these vaccines will save quite a few lives

100.000 Sinovak vaccines against the coronavirus arrived in Montenegro this morning, and at the Podgorica airport, the donation from Turkey was welcomed by the Minister of Health, Jelena Borovinić Bojović, the Director General of the Directorate for Digital Health, Aleksandar Sekulić, and the Ambassador of Turkey to Montenegro, Songul Ozan, it was reported from Ministry of Health (MZD).

The statement added that "Borovinić Bojović thanked for the valuable donation, which was agreed upon during the recent visit of the delegation of the Montenegrin Ministry of Health to Turkey, when the minister met with her Turkish colleague, Fahretina Kodža".

"Today, a valuable and large donation arrived at the Podgorica airport, 100.000 Sinovak vaccines from the state of Turkey to the state of Montenegro. This donation is the result of traditionally good and friendly relations between the two countries, as well as a high degree of solidarity and built bridges that exist between our countries. I use this opportunity to once again thank the ambassador, as well as my dear colleague, the Minister of Health, and of course the entire country of Turkey, all its citizens and the Government for such a valuable and important donation. I am sure that these vaccines will save the lives of many citizens of Montenegro." , said Borovinić Bojović.

On this occasion, she also called on all citizens, if they have not yet done so, to get vaccinated as soon as possible and thus help overcome the current crisis, save their own lives and the lives of their loved ones.

The Minister of Health emphasized that vaccination and basic epidemiological measures are the only safe way out of the current crisis.

"I believe that today's donation will be just one in a series of steps, which were taken during our visit to the state of Turkey and whose implementation we expect in the near future. I am telling the citizens, as you can see, that all our promises will be realized very quickly, and in this sense I expect the traditional even better relations with the state of Turkey in the future, Borovinić Bojović pointed out.

Ozan said that Turkey views Montenegro as a friend, as an ally, and that the two countries have really had good cooperation since the beginning of the pandemic, that is, in the last two years.

"We believe that we will defeat the pandemic only if we cooperate together, if we show solidarity, if we help each other. At the very beginning of the pandemic, we had a large donation to Montenegro, but now I am really happy and feel great joy that I have the opportunity to present to Mrs. to the minister a donation of 100.000 Sinovak vaccines. We hope that this donation will help your campaign to immunize as many people as possible," said Ambassador Ozan.

She told the Montenegrin public that the more people are vaccinated, the easier it will be to defeat the pandemic and called on citizens to take advantage of this opportunity and get vaccinated with the Sinovak vaccine.
