The number of people who died as a result of the coronavirus in the last 14 days is 15,19 percent lower than in the previous two weeks, said Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović.
She told the MINA agency that the average age of unvaccinated deceased patients is 70, and the average age of vaccinated patients is 75.
According to Borovinić Bojović, in the last two weeks the number of patients has increased by 4,23 percent, compared to the previous two weeks.
"Those percentages correspond to similar percentages in a number of European countries, such as, for example, Germany," stated Borovinić Bojović.
She said that 330 were hospitalized, which is about seven percent less compared to Friday, when there were 354 covid patients in hospitals in Montenegro.
Borovinić Bojović said that these results also require some caution, because, as she clarified, any increase in the number of newly infected patients requires hospital treatment in the next 14 days.
She stated that 98,5 percent of the total number of people infected with the coronavirus in Montenegro have recovered.
"The success of treatment and recovery in Montenegro is roughly at the level of Slovenia, where the fatality rate is also 1,5 percent, and it is better than in Croatia, where it is about two percent," said Borovinić Bojović.
