The municipality of Bar welcomed the Government's information about the water supply of the settlements Dobra Voda, Veliki Pijesak, Utjeha and Kruče

The Municipality of Bar welcomed the fact that the Government "finally included" on the agenda the information on the transfer of infrastructure construction and performance of communal activities of public water supply and municipal waste water management in the settlements of Dobra Voda, Veliki Pijesak and Utjeha in Bar and the settlement of Kruče in Ulcinj to the company " Regional Water Supply of the Montenegrin Coast".

They remind that 11 months ago, the municipalities of Bar and Ulcinj transferred the authority to the Government, which obliges the mentioned company to realize that project with the aim of permanently solving the water supply in those waterless regions of the two municipalities, which have become attractive tourist destinations in recent years, so there is a need to regulate this issue increasing. In this way, the biggest and priority life challenges for the residents of Mrkojević are finally solved, the Municipality of Bar points out.

"In the Information, it is stated that the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, in a letter dated February 09.02.2021, XNUMX, confirmed to the President of the Municipality of Bar, from the aspect of its competences, that there are no obstacles to the implementation of the request in question. By making the above decisions and concluding the Agreement by the President of the Municipality of Bar and Ulcinj, the conditions have been created for the Government, in accordance with the Law on Communal Activities and the Law on Regional Water Supply of the Montenegrin Coast, to entrust the implementation of this project to the Regional Waterworks of the Montenegrin Coast doo. founder", announced from the local self-government in Bar.

They said that the Municipality, bearing the above in mind, expects the Government and the company "Regionalni vodovod Crnogorsko primorje" to start as soon as possible with the development of a conceptual solution for that project, in order to start as soon as possible with the realization of the "vitally important issue for the locals" mentioned settlements in the municipalities of Bar and Ulcinj.
