The President of the Municipality of Budva, Marko Carević, warned the Director of the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Budva, Maja Liješević, that she did not receive the consent of the Municipality of Budva as the founder for the organization of the New Year's program, and that in that way she exceeded the authority of the director of the organization because she did not receive the consent of the newly elected Executive Committee for the selection of contractors, as nor consent for the eventual conclusion of an engagement contract on this basis.
This is written in the letter that Tsarević, as the President of the Assembly of TO Budva, sent to Liješević, and which Vijesti had access to.
Liješević announced yesterday that Lepa Brena and Zlatko Stipišić Gibonni will be the main stars of the rich New Year's program on the Square in front of the Old Town, and she announced more details at the press conference scheduled for today at noon.
Last Friday, a session of the TOB Assembly was held, which was chaired by Tsarević, and at which a new Executive and Supervisory Board was elected.
Liješević, who boycotted the session and refused to certify the documentation, was accused of breach of duty and abuse of official position.
In the letter he sent to her, Tsarević considers it inappropriate that Liješević informs him in a letter of the content and selected performers for the New Year's program as the President of the Municipality, who by force of law acts as the President of the Assembly of the Tourist Organization.
"Given that you refused to participate in the organization of the constitutive session of the XNUMXth convocation of the Assembly of the Tourist Organization and thereby committed a group violation of your work obligations and that instead of taking part in the session you resorted to an attempt to manipulate the media, that the legality of the session is questionable, I believe that from the moment of the election of the new governing bodies, you do not have the legitimacy to manage the work of the Budva Tourism Organization. I am obliged to warn you on this occasion that you did not receive the prior consent of the Municipality of Budva, which is the founder of the Budva Tourism Organization, for the organization of the New Year's program. Also, on the same basis, you exceeded the authority of the director of the organization because you did not receive the consent of the newly elected Executive Committee for the selection of contractors, as well as the consent for the possible conclusion of the employment contract on this basis," says Carević.
Tsarević, as he states in the letter, considers it impossible that Liješević is not aware of the long-standing practice of the Municipality and the Tourist Organization each year forming an Organizing Committee for the celebration of the New Year's holidays, which has not yet been formed this year because the Municipality, although a XNUMX% founder, is precisely by TO Budva excluded from the process of organizing the New Year's program.
"I find it particularly disgusting that instead of primarily informing the president of the municipality about the potential choice of contractor, on which there must ultimately be an agreed agreement, you provided information about it to the media, which is why I, as the president of the organization, instead of you personally, learned about it from newspaper texts. As the president of the Assembly of the Tourist Organization, because of everything I have stated, I want to take this opportunity to clearly announce that you do not have the consent of the founder, i.e. the Municipality of Budva, for the organization of the New Year's program. Bearing in mind that you abused and exceeded your powers, and therefore caused damage To the tourist organization of Budva and the municipality as the founder, the organization of the New Year's program will be taken over by the newly appointed executive board, which in the coming days will review your actions in the light of recent events and decide on these issues," said Tsarević.
