Pejović: An analysis of the business books of the Forest Administration from the previous period is underway

A detailed analysis of all business books of the Forestry Administration from the previous period is in progress, said acting (acting) director of the Administration Srđan Pejović, stating that after that all irregularities that are found will be processed.

As announced by the Forestry Administration, on the initiative of the representatives of wood processors from Plav, Pejović organized a meeting with his colleagues in order to get to know in detail the problems that these wood processors have been publicly highlighting for a long time.

It is stated that wood processors from Plav explained to Pejović the problems they face when applying for public invitations and pointed out certain irregularities, which they claim exist in the operations of the regional unit Plav.

"After a detailed analysis of public invitations and the necessary conditions, which the Forestry Administration announced in the previous period, a common conclusion was reached in the way that an omission of wood processors in their documentation was observed, which they will try to correct in the coming period, so that they can participate equally in future public invitations, with fully fulfilled conditions", the announcement says.

Pejović pointed out that in the coming period they are actively working on leaving the concession system by the end of next year, when the remaining concession contracts expire.

He said that by selling wood in stock, which is in the future business plans, the raw material will be available to everyone who needs it, at a significantly higher price than the current one.

Pejović emphasized that the Forestry Administration primarily deals with forestry and that for this reason the protection of forests and forest resources is and must be the primary goal.

"What needs to be worked on in the coming period, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, is certainly accurate records of all wood processors and their production capacities, based on the data that will be collected by visiting the field, which will facilitate the procedures for the sale of state resources and to ensure that it goes into the hands of those who really deal with that economic activity", the announcement says.

Pejović pointed out that it is necessary to support the local economy, which is why everything will be done to preserve and support local companies and their employees, in order to protect the departure of people from smaller areas.

"Pejović announced that a detailed analysis of all business books of the Forestry Administration from the previous period is underway, after which all irregularities that are found will be processed, which will certainly not be an exception for the Plav Regional Unit," the announcement says.

As it was announced, all allegations of the wood processor from Plav about irregularities in the operations of the Regional Unit Plav will be thoroughly investigated.

"If they are confirmed, it is certain that all employees, who will be responsible for these irregularities, will be sanctioned," said the Administration.
