Krivokapić on the exploitation of gravel: The police are deliberately late, the inspection is not even allowed to appear

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić said at today's presentation of the capital budget and the "Montenegro Now" program, answering a question about the exploitation of gravel from the rivers, that it happened that the police, after a report, were deliberately two hours late when it came to going to the scene.

Asked why that was, he said that was a question for the police director.

Krivokapić said that he recently visited the devastated area.

"Perhaps, when you pass through Krivošija, you see a hole in some localities. Here you have material evidence that this space has been lowered to a level of six or seven meters, so it is further lowered with a spoon in the water as much as a spoon can go in. And everyone is only received a contract so that they could influence the definition of the Morača bed, which was devastated. They misused it. In addition to your obligation, you used a huge amount of gravel to gain something little and lose a lot."

He said that every three minutes a truck "with Bemax plates" goes from the gravel to the "dumping point, in order to fool the trail."

"Calculate that one truck costs 300 euros, and it will be clear to you what kind of abuse it is. It is the biggest abuse of natural resources in Montenegro, I think we can still look at the forests in a similar way."

He said that it is not only Morača, but that all rivers are in a similar situation.

He said that it was discussed in the Government that a joint answer must be reached.

"Until now, it has been individual, the inspector goes and comes back or he is not allowed to leave. You have the police who are two hours late. The police on the spot who do not see that the load has passed. You have another inspection who is not allowed to appear there. Why o are we not talking about that? Those are topics that deserve more attention. Why is someone afraid of someone? You are afraid of thieves, when it was in Montenegro," he asked.

When asked if the police are not under their jurisdiction, Krivokapić said:

"Send the police, report it, she is two hours late on purpose. Why, ask the police director".
