The director of the Budva Tourist Organization, Maja Liješević, said that with yesterday's announcement, the Municipality of Budva "unscrupulously" tried to manipulate the public with unfounded claims, deceptions and spins that "surpassed every measure of objectivity".

"The founder of TO Budva is, according to Article 1 of the Statute, the Assembly of the Municipality of Budva, not the Municipality of Budva;
As the citizens could see from the letter of the departmental ministry that was published yesterday from the Municipality's cabinet, the Ministry of Economic Development pointed out a number of irregularities in the work of TOB, regarding the untimely calling of elections for members of the TOB Assembly, as well as violations during the scheduling of the session Assembly TOB, which was convened and presided over by the President of the Municipality of Budva. Also, it was undoubtedly established that regular sessions of the TOB Assembly prescribed as mandatory by the TOB Statute, for which the president of the TOB Assembly was responsible, were not held in the previous period'.
Since the Executive Board on 02.04.2021. made the Decision on calling for elections for members of the TOB Assembly, which was sent to the president for further action, the question arises as to what prevented the president from acting on it.
One of the significant irregularities pointed out is the non-compliance of the Statute with the Law on Tourist Organizations. I am submitting a letter addressed to the President of the Municipality on October 15.10.2019, XNUMX for the public to view. year, in the attachment of which was submitted a proposal for a decision on changes and additions to the Statute of TOB, for further procedure, which was supposed to be adopted at the session of the assembly of TOB of the previous convocation. As dozens of letters were submitted in the last three years regarding the convening of the assembly, which were ignored by the president. The interested public can see who has or has not acted in accordance with their prescribed obligations, and should be held accountable accordingly.
Since Article 13 of the Law on Tourist Organizations stipulates that with the consent of the Municipal Assembly, the Assembly of the tourist organization adopts the Statute, and that the President convenes the Assembly and presides over it, I guess it is clear whose omissions, actions or inactions the Ministry is pointing to.
Also, we submit to the public for review the request of the Supervisory Board for convening a session addressed to the president and we remind you of article 15 of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly of TOB, which prescribes that the president is obliged to convene a session at the request of the Executive Board, the Supervisory Board and at least 10 representatives in the Assembly . And this request of the Supervisory Board did not receive any response or action from the President.
Certainly, all these omissions point to unconscionable behavior in the service and that in continuity, which the Ministry also noted, and which will certainly be the subject of a decision by the competent court.
If the Assembly is legitimate, why did the Ministry in a letter dated 10.11.2021. year, that is, after the contested session, clearly states that the Assembly session was not convened and held in accordance with the law, which was repeated in the letter published by the Municipality's cabinet.
Why did the Ministry send a meeting invitation to director Liješević to attend on behalf of TOB if she was dismissed, as evidenced by the minutes?
Precisely because TOB is a public institution in the interest of all citizens, citizens deserve an answer as to what the assistants of the Municipal President do on Friday evenings with flashlights in TOB's premises and what documents they brought out and why the locks on the doors were forcibly changed outside of working hours when everything carried out 'in accordance with the law'?
In accordance with everything, I appeal to the competent authorities and expect an immediate reaction and action on the reports and all the submitted documentation related to all the mentioned acts in order to determine the responsibility and possible sanctions for the perpetrators and the principals.
In the end, one gets the impression that the intention of yesterday's announcement is to manipulate the public and mislead, and it is quite obvious that persons who are not in favor of the truth and legal action participated in its writing, because it was those who changed the locks, who broke into TOB in during the night hours and presented the documentation," states Liješević.
