NGO "Izvor života": Let the celebratory table be full

For the families from Nikšić who celebrate Saint Nicholas tomorrow, and who are not able to prepare the celebratory table as they would like, so they turned to the non-governmental organization (NGO) "Izvor života" for help, the table will be full thanks to the said NGO.

The members of that NGO made an effort to visit everyone who turned to them for help and to bring them celebratory packages containing dried meat products, salads, cakes...

"Tomorrow, Orthodox believers will celebrate St. Nicholas. In homes across Montenegro, there will be services from traditionally rich tables and celebratory candles burning. At the same time, there will be places where they will stand on empty tables, but wherever we can, we will cheer up homes that are in need In this way, we want to convey the message of brotherly love and bring a warm meal from the heart as a symbol of the "Source of Life", said Konstantina Vojinović.

The suffering of people, as she said, in these difficult times is not only the distant everyday life of some whom we do not meet often, do not know or are not in our immediate vicinity, but "all of us are threatened from time to time or at least do not allow us not to think about her".

"In my hometown, we try to deal with the problems of different groups of people. Since the beginning of the year, we have prepared over one hundred thousand hot meals, over five thousand food and hygiene packages for those who lack food, we have adapted several housing units and managed to collect very significant means of aid for the treatment of several people. Anyone who has gone through that experience knows that saving a human life, either directly or indirectly, is a truly unique feeling, something by far the most sublime," said Vojinović.

All this, as she emphasized, would not be possible without extremely good cooperation with institutions, a large number of non-governmental organizations, the diaspora, all religious institutions and benevolent people "who do not know vanity and use only sincere love for others".

"Our biggest donor is someone who insists on his anonymity out of his own principles. It is a Montenegrin family from Berlin. Cooperation with that family encouraged me to start thinking even more often about some values ​​that exist among us Montenegrins, which we may not have given name or to which we did not pay enough attention as a society as a whole. I think that it is precisely this invisible force that is deeply woven into the Montenegrin being - optimism that prevails, but still clothed in depression," Vojinović concluded in a press release.
