A concert of songs from NOB was held tonight in the Bjelo Polje Cultural Center. In addition to the City Choir, the choir of the School for Elementary Music Education, KUD Tekstilac Bijelo Polje participated as well as soloists Dražen Baković, Ena Šabanović and others.

Director of the Culture Center, Milko Kovačević, said that by recalling the symbol of a time, we are all together sending a strong message of anti-fascism, as a universal civilizational value, a message of peace, harmony and togetherness while developing a special sense of belonging to our people and our country.

"The freedom and anti-fascism of Bijelo Polje, its multi-ethics and multiculturalism, the heroism of Aleksa Beć Đilas, Lenka Jurišević, Rifat Burdžović Trš, Milovan Jelić, Tomaš Žižić and many known and unknown fighters, guarantee the existence and survival of this city based on solid and timeless ideas of civilizational values" , said Kovačević, reminding that the evening is dedicated to the state that was created in the famous anti-fascist struggle, and which was lost in the bloody war of nationalism of different addresses.

He expressed the hope that as a society we are ready to read the written message and that we all understand that togetherness, harmony and equality is our destiny and the only condition for our existence and survival, and that this concert is a step towards that.

The organizer of the evening, music professor Almir Martinović, said that he was proud of his fellow citizens who showed that they still inherit and value what our ancestors did during the NOB.

"Here tonight, together with the youth of Bjelopolje, the nostalgics of the south have experienced a revival. This youth has shown that it knows how to preserve and inherit the traditions of its people. These busts in our park, which are the symbol and pride of our city, remind and oblige us of that. These are people who gave their lives for freedom, and it is up to us not to forget the ideas of anti-fascism, brotherhood and unity, but to pass it on to the youth," Martinović pointed out.

The concert was organized by the Culture Center "Vojislav Bulatović - Strunjo" in cooperation with the non-governmental organization "Musical Heritage".
